Abu Dhabi, 10–12 February 2025 – Italy’s Permanent Representative to ICAO, Amb. Sergio Martes, participated in the Global Implementation Support Symposium (GISS) 2025, organized by ICAO and hosted by the authorities of the United Arab Emirates at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi.
Now in its fourth edition, the symposium served as an important forum for dialogue among Member States, international organizations, and aviation stakeholders, with the goal of promoting the effective implementation of ICAO standards, fostering capacity building, and supporting the sustainable development of international air transport.
Italy’s participation reflects the country’s ongoing commitment to multilateral cooperation in the aviation sector, the promotion of operational safety, environmental sustainability, and technological innovation in air transport.
